Services

Maritime progress begins with the right route.

From a first training decision to command-level certification, we help you understand the pathway, organise the evidence, and approach the correct institution or authority with a stronger file.

Independent consultancy. Ghana Maritime Authority, training institutions, employers, flag administrations, and medical examiners retain their own decisions.

Five connected service lanes

Support shaped around the actual objective.

Each engagement starts with the intended rank, document, programme, opportunity, or journey. That keeps the advice specific and prevents clients from paying for the wrong course or preparing the wrong evidence.

Certificate renewal & document readiness

We turn scattered certificates, expiry dates, sea-service records, and authority requests into one organised case file.

The work begins with the issuing administration and the exact certificate—not a generic renewal list. We identify validity gaps, check names and dates across records, organise evidence of continued competence, and prepare the submission sequence. The authority remains the only body that can renew, revalidate, replace, or endorse a certificate.

  • CoC and endorsement inventory
  • Expiry and refresher mapping
  • Sea-service evidence pre-check
  • Replacement and correction preparation
  • Authority follow-up coordination

Maritime admission & approved training

A clearer route from career objective to the right programme, entry file, and training provider.

We compare the client's educational background, department, current certificate, sea service, and intended capacity before recommending an application route. Support can cover Nautical Science, Marine Engineering, ETO, professional upgrades, pre-sea training, and STCW proficiency courses—always subject to the institution's current admission and approval rules.

  • Programme and career-route comparison
  • Entry-requirement review
  • Application-file preparation
  • Approved-provider checks
  • Admission and arrival coordination

Eligibility & competency upgrades

Evidence-led preparation for deck and engine officers moving to operational or management level.

Certificate classes are not interchangeable. The correct route depends on department, current capacity, ship tonnage or propulsion power, voyage limitation, approved education, recent service, watchkeeping responsibility, ancillary training, medical fitness, and examination history. We map these factors before the formal RMU and GMA eligibility stages.

  • Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3 orientation
  • Deck versus engine pathway mapping
  • Discharge-book and testimonial audit
  • Training-record-book review
  • Notice of Eligibility preparation

Recruitment & sea-time readiness

A professional, consent-controlled route to legitimate opportunity leads and stronger applications.

We help candidates build a truthful maritime profile, identify missing employment evidence, prepare a role-specific CV, and respond to screened leads. Where a regulated recruitment or placement activity applies, it is handled only through the required compliance route. Employers and vessel operators retain every hiring and sea-time decision.

  • Role and readiness profile
  • CV and credential presentation
  • Lawful opportunity screening
  • Application and interview preparation
  • Explicit consent before profile sharing

Offshore, student & travel coordination

Practical support around an approved training, offshore, or career journey—scoped one need at a time.

We can coordinate supporting logistics after the underlying programme, appointment, or opportunity is confirmed. This may include accommodation research, arrival planning, local transport, document appointments, and referrals to appropriately licensed providers. Third-party services, prices, and decisions remain separate from MSA's consultancy fee.

Ghana certificate pathways

Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3—explained properly.

Open a guide to see the department, level of responsibility, indicative qualifying service, evidence file, process, and official sources. The guides make the familiar class labels useful without pretending that one label covers every deck and engine route.

A naming detail worth knowing: Ghana's published legacy instrument maps Class 3 to engineering watch, while the operational deck watch certificate appears under a different class label. The capacity, department, tonnage/power limit, and current GMA decision matter more than shorthand.

Know what each document is for.

These guides help you prepare questions and evidence. They do not replace a Notice of Eligibility, medical decision, institutional admission, flag-state endorsement, or official certificate.

Built from primary sources

Research first. Confirm officially. Then act.

Our Ghana guidance is based on public information from the Ghana Maritime Authority and the international STCW framework. Requirements and administrative practice can change, so every client file receives a current official-source check before submission.
