How it works

A visible route from uncertainty to action.

Maritime cases often involve several institutions, deadlines, and records. Our process gives each request a defined objective, evidence checklist, controlled instruction, and trackable next step.

You remain in control of your original records and external sharing decisions throughout the process.

Prepare · Pre-check · Process · Track

A good maritime support process should show not only what happens next, but why it happens and who has the authority to decide.

MSA coordinates the practical work around a case. We do not turn a private review into an official approval. Every stage distinguishes the client's responsibility, our consultancy work, and the decision reserved for GMA, another flag administration, an approved medical examiner, training institution, employer, or provider.

The six-stage workflow

Every handoff has an owner.

The workflow can support a short document review or a longer upgrade, admission, or recruitment-readiness case. Only the evidence and external stages change.

01

Define the objective

Tell us the certificate, rank, course, document, opportunity, or problem you are trying to address—not only the service name.

You
Share your current position and desired outcome.
MSA
Identify the likely authority, institution, department, and pathway.
Output
A clearly stated case objective.
02

Map your starting position

Your present rank, department, certificates, sea service, education, vessel history, and target country shape the route.

You
Complete the relevant professional profile.
MSA
Separate confirmed facts from assumptions and missing information.
Output
A pathway profile and first risk flags.
03

Receive a tailored checklist

We create a case-specific evidence list instead of asking every person for every possible maritime document.

You
Review the checklist and raise questions early.
MSA
Explain why each record is relevant and who normally issues it.
Output
A prioritised document and action plan.
04

Submit for a secure pre-check

Files are uploaded through the portal, malware-scanned, versioned, and reviewed for readability, consistency, expiry, and obvious gaps.

You
Upload genuine, clear records you are authorised to use.
MSA
Record findings without representing the review as official verification.
Output
A gap report and evidence index.
05

Approve scope, fees, and sharing

Before chargeable work or external sharing, the service, known fees, third parties, dependencies, and client instructions are recorded.

You
Approve the service order and any separate sharing authority.
MSA
Distinguish MSA fees from authority, school, medical, and other provider fees.
Output
A documented and consent-controlled instruction.
06

Coordinate and track

Actions, requests, messages, receipts, official references, and third-party dependencies are recorded in one case timeline.

You
Respond to action-required items and attend appointments or assessments.
MSA
Follow up lawfully and report what changed, what did not, and who decides next.
Output
A traceable case record and final handover.

A shared status language

Know exactly where the case stands.

Status reflects MSA's current handling position. “Awaiting third party” does not mean the authority or institution has approved the request.

  1. 1
    Submitted

The request has entered the agency queue.

  2. 2
    Under review

The scope and evidence are being assessed.

  3. 3
    Action required

A named item is needed from you or another party.

  4. 4
    In processing

Approved agency work or coordination is underway.

  5. 5
    Awaiting third party

The next response belongs to an external organisation.

  6. 6
    Completed

The agreed agency scope has reached its recorded outcome.

Working standards

Protection built into the process.

01

No invented eligibility

If the evidence does not support a conclusion, we label it unconfirmed and direct the question to the responsible authority.

02

No silent document sharing

Uploading a document authorises secure storage and internal review—not disclosure to a school, employer, authority, or partner.

03

No hidden official fees

Known authority and provider costs are separated from MSA's consultancy scope wherever the information is available.

04

No guaranteed outcomes

We can improve readiness, coordination, and visibility. We cannot control examinations, admissions, visas, certificates, or employment decisions.

Ready when you are
